How to use automations as a solopreneur

When you’re a solopreneur, every second counts.

Learning how to leverage software tools for your business can make you feel less stressed.

If you’re like me, the less I have to do, the better. It means I can focus on the important activities in my business.

Things like:

  • Sales
  • Networking
  • Doing client work

Today, I want to show you how you can use automations to remove items from your to-do list and get back to running your business.

I’m not a fan of hiring a VA. With the right tools in place, you could optimize your process and save a lot of time without hiring one.

There are two pieces of software I use to help me leverage the use of automations.

1. Bonsai

Bonsai is a tool I have been using to run the admin side of my business. It’s an excellent tool that handles, invoices, proposals, scheduling, bookkeeping, and a lot more.

One powerful feature of this software is automations.

Here is how I use it in my business.

Every proposal I send requires a deposit upon signing for the client to secure their start date. This helps guarantee a slot on my calendar and ensure both parties are serious, even if the start date is weeks out.

By doing this, I don’t have to manually send an invoice once they book.

One extra step saved.

The other way I use it is to collect testimonials. Once I close the project in Bonsai, an automated email goes out requesting a testimonial. This is great, as it is one less thing I have to think about.

P.S. I highly recommend Bonsai. You can check it out here

2. Zapier

The next tool is common in the world of automations. Zapier can integrate with just about any piece of software.

My favorite way to use Zapier is to connect your website form to your CRM.

This is easy to do and you can configure all your form fields to be mapped to your CRM as a new lead. Allowing you to easily keep track of all your leads, and not lose them in the mess that is your email inbox.

Wrapping up

There are hundreds of ways to use automations in your business and these are just a few.

If you are struggling to integrate automations into your business, I would love to chat.

Reply to this email with what you are struggling with and let’s get it sorted out.
