Standing out online is hard. Every small business knows how important it is to have an online presence, but so few know how to do it right.

When asking potential clients what problem they are experiencing with their website, one answer sticks out the most.

They can’t stand out online.

This usually looks like:

  • Not generating leads
  • Visitors bounce from the website too early
  • Website doesn’t visually represent the business

The problem is, there are over 1.1 billion websites on the internet. Yes, billion.

How confident are you that someone will resonate with yours enough to reach out?

The conclusion most of my clients come to—not very much. And this causes continuous problems in your business. Primarily lead flow issues.

This is why it’s critical to have a website that is optimized for your business.

Not one you purchased a template from. Not one you built yourself (or a family member who said they knew how).

But one built by a professional with your goals in mind.

See, the answer isn’t usually complicated. But that doesn’t mean it’s not hard.

Here are some basic rules about how to stand out online:

  • People buy based on the words not the design
  • Clarity in your messaging always wins (it’s not flashy, but it works)
  • You must have a crystal clear understanding of your ideal customer
  • Strong call to actions are critical for people to take the next step
  • Highlight the problem your customer is experiencing
  • Position yourself as the guide, not the hero

I promise, if you do these things, you will be shocked how much better your website will convert. You will attract more ideal customers and your business will grow.
