Resources to kickstart your marketing & website

When searching the internet for marketing resources you will find thousands of different tools. Ones that promise to do everything for you to ones that don’t do enough.

Today, I wanted to share some resources and tools that I have found to be useful. These are tools I have personally tested, so you can hit the ground running and stop wasting time.

Let’s get started!

Marketing Made Simple [book] - As a StoryBrand Guide, this is the foundation of a successful marketing funnel. I truly believe this is the foundation for all your marketing collateral.

Canva [design tool] - This is a great resource for creating lead magnets and graphics for your business. Using branded resources elevates your brand and makes you look more professional.

Landing Page Guide [guide] - If you’re creating a landing page to sell a product, this is the guide for you. It includes everything you need to create the perfect landing page to convert visitors into customers.

Carrd [website builder] - If you’re a new business, Carrd is the perfect website builder. When you are starting out, you don’t need a lot of customization. Get your website live and start growing your business. You will want to upgrade it down the road anyway.

Website Hero Section [guide] - This is a newsletter issue I wrote that covers all the aspects of a website hero section that works.

PageSpeed Insights [tool] - This is a tool to test how fast your website is and whether it meets Google’s criteria. While achieving a perfect score is not the goal, it can be helpful to see where you might need to make some improvements.

Preview Open Graph Meta Tags [tool] - This tool allows you to see how your website looks when you share it on social media. This is important because when you share your website online, you want the image and text to look good so people will click on it.

Image Compressor [tool] - Images are one of the primary reasons a website loads too slowly. This tool lets you upload your images and compresses them before using them on your site. Run your images through this tool before uploading to your website.

I hope this list helps.
